Welcome to the picturesque alpine village of Les Bois in the Chamonix valley. Surrounded by the dramatic and rugged peaks of the Mont Blanc massif and home to some of the finest skiing terrain in the world. Les Bois is an old Savoyard village in the woods 10 minutes from Chamonix. A five minute walk will take you to the La Flégère ski lift or the 18-hole golf course. This lift operates in the winter and summer, offering access to some of the most staggering scenery, skiing and walking in the valley. The ski resort of Flégère is linked to Le Brévent slopes and offers numerous pistes for all abilities and unlimited off-piste skiing. The 300 year old farmhouse is one of the oldest buildings in the Chamonix valley and we have spent the last year restoring it. Set in the heart of the village the house enjoys stunning 360-degree views of the Mont Blanc massif from panoramic windows, balcony and terrace. The house maintains its original features of stone and wooden beams and is a perfect place to escape to. The Chalet The chalet has 4 double ensuite bedrooms and a large open plan living area with a central open fireplace between the library and sitting room. The sitting room and dining areas open out onto a terrace and balcony with wonderful views of Mont Blanc. The wooden gable end of the house has been replaced with glass to give an amazing view up to the Flégère and Brévent slopes. The Area The area is well served by the free ski bus and is a short walk from the train stop (which is also free). The excellent travel links ensure that guests have easy access to the other ski areas within a 10 km radius, including the Grands Montets and the world-famous Vallée Blanche descent. Cross-country skiers will be in heaven as the ski de fond tracks pass by the chalet. There are shops, bars and restaurants in Les Praz which is also just a short walk away. The Experience The chalet is available on a catered basis. Stephanie, a professional chef fresh from running fabulous restaurants in the gourmand city of Melbourne, Australia is over to enjoy the winter season and provide truly delicious food. We want to offer memorable holidays whether it be: up for the first lift, extreme skiing off-piste or perhaps a more chilled out form of relaxation, a later start to the slopes, lunches enjoying the stunning scenery, visits to the spa, cooking classes, yoga or just curling up by the fire in a beautiful chalet.
